We and South Cambridgeshire District Council commissioned Odournet to assess the level and risk of odour impact posed by the Cambridge water recycling centre.
The assessment will aid the consideration of development proposals that might come forward in its vicinity.
Officers at the councils prepared a technical note to set out how they intend to interpret the results of the assessment.
