The following applications were considered at the meeting of Cambridge City Council’s Planning Committee, held on Wednesday 4 February 2026 at the Guildhall, Cambridge. 

Major applications 

  • To knock down Kett House, Station Road, Petersfield and build an eight-storey office building with ground-floor flexible commercial/community uses. The proposal includes the permanent closure of the Hills Road vehicular access and realignment of the Station Road access.

    Decision: Approved

Minor / other applications 

  • To knock down the existing building at 190 High Street, Cherry Hinton and build a nine-bedroom HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy) and a separate two-bedroom house.
    Applicant: Nemer Properties Ltd
    Decision: Approved 

  • To extend the delivery hours to include Sundays and Bank and Public Holidays between 10am and 9pm for Tesco Express on Christ’s Lane, Market. 
    Applicant: Tesco Stores Ltd
    Decision: Approved
