We are developing a Making Space for People supplementary planning document (SPD) for Cambridge.
The SPD will be used to prioritise the delivery of improvements to key public spaces. It will also identify improvements to key streets, and improve the walking and cycling network.
It will create a framework to improve the streets and spaces in central Cambridge. It will do this by encouraging more sustainable transport options, safeguarding the character of existing spaces, and identifying opportunities for new uses of space.
This project is being funded by the Greater Cambridge Partnership. It is being undertaken for us by consultants Building Design Partnership (BDP).
Earlier in the process of preparing the document, we asked how you think local streets and open spaces could be improved. We also held open days at which you could discuss the SPD with us.
