Council Tax payment plans following a court summons

If you have received a summons to court because of unpaid Council Tax, you can propose a payment plan to clear your arrears.

Making a payment offer will not stop the debt from proceeding through the court process. But keeping to an agreed payment arrangement can prevent other recovery action being taken.

Use our form to describe your circumstances and tell us how you propose to clear your arrears. We will review your offer and contact you to confirm or discuss it.

Other support

We can only agree to individual payment plans after a court summons or liability order has been issued. If you have received a Council Tax bill, reminder or final notice, read Council Tax reminders and recovery action.
