Communal areas at leasehold properties

We manage the communal areas at all of our leasehold properties.

Communal areas must be kept clear and free from obstruction at all times, to ensure fire risks are minimised and make sure residents are safe – this includes communal gardens. Fire doors and bin-store doors must be kept closed.

You are not allowed to use communal areas for storage, and bicycles should be stored in designated racks or in your shed if you have one, or inside your home. We reserve the right to remove any items left in communal areas, and to charge the cost of doing so to the owner.

We will usually clean communal areas every week. This is paid for by the service charge that your landlord pays directly to us. If the communal area at your property is very small, you and your neighbours will be responsible for cleaning it.
